I'm a fully qualified counsellor, with an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling from CPPD, and a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from Hertfordshire University.
I'm a registered member of the BACP. I also hold a master's in Occupational Psychology, and first degrees in Psychology and Business.
I have been passionate about psychology and human relationships ever since my undergraduate days. Before turning to counselling, I worked as a senior manager within large organisations. Counselling and training very much feel like a 'true calling' for me.
I have previously worked for the Local Counselling Centre based in north Hertfordshire, serving the local communities of Hitchin and Letchworth. This has enabled me to work inclusively with people from all walks of life, and at all stages of adulthood. My clients have all faced their own, unique struggles, and have used counselling to navigate a path through their difficulties, increasing their self-awareness in the process.
I work with clients who experience difficulties ranging from anxiety, depression and relationship problems, to stress and anger management issues. Depending on what you would most like to talk about, the focus may be on what happens at home, or in the workplace. However, whatever situation you find yourself in, I will work with you at your own pace.
You can use counselling as a place for discussing whatever is bothering most about you current situation. As an integrative counsellor, I am equipped to help you with a range of techniques, whether that is talking about the 'here and now', or about past patterns of behaviour which you feel are obstructing you in life.
