What would you like to change?
Counselling can be a powerful agent for psychological growth, whilst allowing us to live our lives more fully in the present.
People come to counselling for many different reasons – usually, there is something they want to change. It often plays a pivotal role in releasing us from unhelpful, past patterns of behaviour.
This ‘unlocking’ of old patterns comes about through the increased self-awareness and self-acceptance fostered by the counselling process. In this process, obstacles and blockages can be overcome, as new perspectives are found.
New habits are formed and this can have a big impact on how we live our lives, as well as having a positive effect on our relationships.
Relationships
Many people come for counselling when their relationship is in crisis. You may feel your relationship is stuck or locked into a negative pattern of interactions. Sometimes, people feel like there is a big decision hanging over their heads. Or it may be a case of wanting to get things back on track so you can start enjoying your lives together again.
There are always options – this is where counselling can make a massive difference.
