People come to counselling for many different reasons – usually, there is something they want to change.
Counselling often plays a pivotal role in releasing us from unhelpful, past patterns of behaviour. This ‘unlocking’ of old patterns comes about through the increased self-awareness and self-acceptance fostered by the counselling process. Counselling can be a powerful agent for psychological growth, or simply allowing us to live our lives more fully in the present.
Many people come for counselling when their relationship is in crisis. You may feel your relationship is stuck or locked into a negative pattern of interactions. Sometimes, people feel like there is a big decision hanging over their heads. Or it may be a case of wanting to get things back on track so you can start enjoying your lives together again.
There are always options – this is where counselling can make a massive difference.
